I’m getting a bit slack blogging some of my projects recently so I thought I’d better catch up. Last weekend I had no plans so I went along to Simply Solids course to make a jersey top. I’ve always loved the idea of making my own clothing, but I’m not a fantastic sewer and the thought of jersey gave me a cold sweat.
So being able to make a jersey top with someone to tell me to stop complaining as I’m sewing seams, was very helpful.
It wasn’t that hard, and it looks great. The seams are a bit wobbly around the arms holes as I felt the seam was unrolling as it went through the machine, but the bottom hem is great as its zig zagged. Anyway, it was good enough for me to wear out that night and show off to my crafting friends. We got to use an overlocker which was fab so I had to get a picture of one of the other ladies using it.
